Costa Rica , an adventure I will never forget

There is absolutely no words to describe the beauty of Costa Rica. Every single bits of this adventure was pure joy. Costa Ricans are so kind and so respectful of their lands, which is something we could all learn from.

I had the amazing chance to be able to ride a horse with the owner of a stable on the coast of Playa Azul. He told me about his ancestors, their beliefs, and the way they perceived nature as golden.

My family and I stayed for a couple of days in a small luxury hotel : Azul Ocean Club . I would really recommend this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful place , with friendly staff, luxurious accomodation and great food !

Right next to this hotel , there are hidden beaches that are easily accessible . We had the chance of spending our aftertoon alone in a snorkling paradise.

After filling our lungs with salty air , we decided it was time to move inside the lands. We then rented little tree houses right next to the Arenal Volcano ( childhood dream x1000000) . Waking up to beautiful sunrises and humingbirds is the best combo ! Definitly an experience to try if you want to go out of your comfort zone.

Last but not least, the capital : San Jose.

To be honest , I have mixed feelings about this city. Given that my parents left earlier , I had no choice but wanting to live the hostel life. I booked two nights in Pension de la Cuesta . If I had one advice for you : do NOT go there. They scamed me about the price and when I tried to argue they directly called the police ( I had my flight two hours after) .

But...

San Jose has lowkey hidden gems such as 1330 Cafeteria . It's a little cafe that offers delicious cakes and sandwiches . The decor is very 2017-instagram-perfect  ( you kow wooden eveything and garlands everywhere) .

Foodwise , if you look outside of the box ( not downtown) , there are little restaurants such as Kula. Oww this restaurant though... they have vegan and vegetarian options and they serve fresh food only ! If you ever go to San Jose , please have at least a snack there !

Given these points , I have no regrets going to Costa Rica . I think I have lived a full Costa Rican experience and will definitly go back there when I have a bit of free time. The airplane tickets from North America are so inexpensive and just for the beauty of it , it is totally worth it.

If you're still not convinced , I will let you with this beautiful sunset taken on the West Coast of Costa Rica.
